The International Biosafety Training Center at UTMB began with a federal grant in 2006. As pioneers in a new and exacting training field, we recognize the need for safe research using biohazardous materials, including bloodborne pathogens. We understand the vital role of biosafety training in the kind of work that positively impacts lives, but involves some risk to personnel and equipment.
Our biosafety training courses are based on best practices and industry standards for biocontainment and clinical lab environments worldwide. Through tenacity and an exceptional level of biosafety training expertise, we’ve developed a global reputation for providing exceptional advanced training and precise assessment methods.
The breadth and depth of our experience is unmatched in the biosafety training field, including our work with bloodborne pathogens. At the forefront of our training system is the vital outcome of protecting individuals, facilities, product, the environment and the community. It’s all about reducing risk. From research staff to biosafety personnel, facility support to manufacturers, we provide biosafety training that establishes a firm foundation for biosafety.
